My Talking Angela is a game where users care for a virtual kitten that grows into a cat.

It is particularly popular with young girls, and offers an alternative to My Talking Tom, which is a similar game but with a male cat.

You adopt Angela as a nappy-wearing kitten and it is your task to groom her, feed her, brush her teeth and play with her. As time goes by, the playful and charming Angela grows up into a white cat with gorgeous blue eyes. You can change her clothes, style her hair and do her make-up. You can even change her eye colour. If you neglect her she will get hungry or tired and to revive her you have to buy a special potion.

To do this you use in-game coins, which can also be used to purchase different outfits and accessories. Angela's cat food must also be purchased. You can use real money to buy coins, but playing mini games will also top up your account, as will levelling up. You progress through the levels - of which there are more than 50 - by looking after Angela regularly, and are rewarded when you do. The more caring and nurturing you are, the better you are rewarded.

Players can collect virtual stickers for an in-game sticker book, either by levelling up or by using real money.

This is a great game for the casual gamer, as you can play it for just a minute or two or for hours at a time, which is a distinct possibility with such a charming subject. Angela is customisable right down from the colour of her fur, to her home and the view from her window. The graphics are colourful and cute and the whole concept is a nice twist on the many popular make-up and hair styling games that children love.

While My Talking Angela isn't to be confused with the Talking Angela game (which was hit with a hacking scare), you can also talk to Angela and have her repeat it back to you.

The game was developed as an app to be downloaded to phones and tablets, and is best played with a touch-screen to help you interact with Angela.
